1. Who you are dealing with

AskSami is run by Ancestorii Ltd, a company registered in the UK, trading as AskSami. Receipts say ASKSAMI.APP. Questions go to support@asksami.app.

2. What AskSami does, and what it does not

Sami reads your product and tells you, plainly, why it does or does not sell and what to do next. To do that:

• Sami reads your repository through a GitHub App you install, and AskSami only ever asks that App for read access.
• Sami opens the files you give it access to: files in the repository you pick, and files in the folder you run the terminal command in (the whole git repository, when that folder is part of one).
• Sami reads your live site and the files and links you give it. When a question needs it, Sami also searches the web and reads public pages.

And what it never does:

• AskSami never writes to your code. When the fix is code, Sami writes instructions for you to run in your own coding tool.
• AskSami never posts anywhere for you.
• AskSami never spends your money. Sami may suggest a paid test, and whether to buy it is up to you.
• Sami’s memory of your product is never deleted by Sami. A correction is added and the old record kept, and the memory goes only when the account is deleted.

3. Plans and credits

There is a free plan, Free, and every account is on it until it pays. It holds 1 project, your full honest read and your ranked plan, and chat with Sami and Sami Sinchi on a small monthly allowance that resets on the day of the month your account was made (on the day your plan used to renew, for an account whose plan has ended). For your honest read, Sami reads whatever you give it, your code and your live site included, and it uses none of your allowance. A repository too big to read in one go on the free read is left out of it, and your honest read is judged from the rest of what you give. The free read is one for each account, for good: a project, a repository, a site address or an email address that has had its free read does not get another, whichever account asks, and deleting an account does not change that. A read that fails, or finds nothing to judge, does not use it up. On a day when many free reads come in, they can run out, and then you can ask for yours again the next day. Reading your product again after that needs a paid plan. AskSami may change or close the free plan, and a free account is deleted the same way as any other, from the Account page.

Every paid plan is a monthly subscription in US dollars, paid through Stripe. Each one brings in the founder of AskSami. The founder reads what you give and writes a Founder review of your product, which you see above Sami’s honest read on your Verdict tab. The founder also talks with you in a thread there, and a letter tells you when the founder writes; you can turn the letters off. Each one reads your product again when you ask, and adds more Samis: Sami Amaru from Starter up, and Sami Inti, the strongest Sami, from Growth up.

• Starter. $20 per month. 1 project.
• Growth. $100 per month. 2 projects, AskSami in your terminal and one more person in your account.
• Max. $240 per month. 5 projects, AskSami in your terminal and one more person in your account.

Most founder replies and page reviews come within the first couple of hours and the majority within the first 24 hours, but allow up to 72 hours for a reply in the Founder thread, for the Founder review, and for a public page to be reviewed and approved.

Each paid plan comes with a monthly allowance of use, shared by every project and every person on the account. It resets on your billing date, and whatever is left does not roll over. Reading your product again uses it, and so does the work Sami does without you pressing anything once you turn it on, such as your morning brief. A push to your code is only noted: Sami reads the new code when you ask it to.

Credits are extra use, bought on a paid plan. The account owner buys them when they choose, in any amount from $10. Credits never expire, and they are used only once the month’s allowance is spent. The owner sets a monthly top up limit on the Account page. It starts at $100, and a top up that would take a billing period past it is refused.

Nothing is charged automatically beyond your plan. Credits are only bought when you buy them.

4. Cancelling

The account owner can cancel any time with the Cancel plan button on the Account page. The plan then stops at the end of the period you have paid for, and everything works as before until that day.

From that day the account is on Free: Sami and Sami Sinchi, Free’s small monthly allowance, which comes back each month on the day your plan used to renew, no reading again, and no Founder review or thread with the founder. Your projects, Sami’s memory, your reads, your chats and any public page stay. Credits you bought are still yours and are used once Free’s month is spent.

Reopening the plan starts a new monthly subscription from that day, and everything comes back.

5. Your public page

On a paid plan, once your product is ready, you can write a public page for it on asksami.app. Sami fills in first words from what you gave, Sami’s honest reads, the Founder review, what Sami remembers of your product and your thread with the founder, and you change any of it. When you send it to the founder of AskSami, the founder reads it and publishes it, or sends it back with a note; the founder never writes it. Most pages are reviewed within the first couple of hours and the majority within the first 24 hours, but allow up to 72 hours. It shows only the words you write, the screenshots you pick and the figures you tick, and never a read, a verdict or a score. What it says is yours: you answer for it being true, and you pick only screenshots that are yours to show. By sending it you let AskSami show it at its address for as long as it is up. It stays up after you cancel. To have it taken down, write to support@asksami.app and it is taken down. AskSami may also take a page down when it breaks the law or these terms, and tells the account owner.

6. Refunds

Time already used is not refunded. When you cancel, your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for, and nothing more is charged.

If you delete your account, the plan stops that day and any credits left are deleted with the account. Neither the rest of that period nor those credits are refunded. The Privacy page says what deleting removes.

7. Sami gives advice

Sami is an AI assistant. It gives advice from what it has read, and it can be wrong. What you decide, build and spend is your call, and so are the results.

8. People you invite

On Growth and Max the account owner can invite one more person. The invitation link works once, for one hour, and only for the address it was sent to.

The person you invite works in your account as you do. They see your projects, everything Sami found and remembers, and your chats, and what they do uses your allowance and then your credits. They also read the Founder review of your products and your thread with the founder, and write in that thread, each line signed with their own name when their account gives one. They can also write your public page and send it to the founder; the figures it shows are yours alone to tick. They see which plan the account is on and how much allowance and credit is left, but they cannot see your card or receipts, change billing, buy credits, invite anyone or add a project. What they write stays in your account’s chats. You can remove them at any time, and they can leave.

9. The terminal command

On Growth and Max, npx asksami opens your chat with Sami in a terminal. It reads the folder you run it in, or the whole git repository when that folder is part of one, and never writes to it. The only file it keeps is its own settings file in your home folder, which holds your terminal token. It will not open in your home folder itself.

• With each message it sends the folder’s name (never where it is on your computer), its git branch, its latest commit, how many files have changes, the address of its origin remote, and the names of up to 5,000 of its files.
• It sends the text of a file, or your changes since Sami last read your code, when you use /read or /diff and when Sami asks for one. When Sami asks, it sends straight away without asking you, and prints a line naming what it sent. /attach sends the screenshots and export files you name, from anywhere on your computer, up to 20 with one message, and a pattern such as *.csv names every file in that folder that matches it, unless a name marks it as a secrets file.
• It never sends files that hold secrets by their nature, such as .env files, private keys and credential files. It never lists or reads anything git ignores, except a file you name yourself with /attach. Other files are sent as they are, and AskSami blanks anything in them that looks like a key or a password before keeping them.
• Every answer in the terminal uses your allowance, as it does on the platform. Nothing runs on an AI subscription of your own.

10. Fair use

An account is for one person, plus the people your plan lets you invite. Do not share your sign in or your terminal token with anyone else.
